Tips for starting your application
Know what to expect
- The graduate application takes 30–45 minutes to complete.
- You can save your progress and return at any time.
Have your application materials handy
- A copy of your unofficial transcripts from all previous colleges you attended.
- Identity information and documents if you have them, including your social security number and driver’s license.
- Previous college information, such as courses, grades, GPA and school address.

Your next steps
Be on the lookout for an email from ASU with the subject line ‘ASU Account Activation’ within 2–3 days of submitting your application.
Activate My ASU
The email you’ll receive will include a link to activate your ASURITE ID, your username for all ASU websites and systems. Your ASURITE ID is unique to you and will stay the same for as long as you’re associated with ASU.
When activating your account, you’ll also create an associated password. Keep track of this information because you’ll use it to log into My ASU, your homepage to check the status of your application, track enrollment, access your courses, view financial aid and scholarships, among other important tasks.
Pay your application fee if you haven’t already
You can pay the nonrefundable ASU application fee at the time you submit your application or once you activate My ASU. Acceptable forms of payment include credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and eCheck. You can also mail a check or money order to Admission Services, payable to Arizona State University, at the following address:
